How Do you Do it all?

I am a Post Production Supervisor for on Demand shows, best known for The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime and The Long Way Up for Apple TV.

I run my own company in Post Production, I am a coach for women in media, I am a mentor, I write and present seminars, and I hold surgeries on Post Production for WFTV.

That sounds like a lot, but really when you look at the picture as a whole – it is all the same thing. All of these services are based around Post Production which is my passion. 

Being a mentor – helping the next generation with advice and motivation is so important, and what I have learned from my mentees has been invaluable. I dedicate an hour a week to being a mentor. 

Being a coach – I love to coach, this is the most enriching experience and such a privilege to work with women in the industry and help them to find their confidence. I dedicate 5-7 hours a week to coaching. 

Click is my pride and joy, and I love my job. I have an incredibly strong female team around me and we run 3 or 4 shows at a time. I dedicate 45 hours a week to my job.

I don’t have children; I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I commute into London (about 2.5 hours each way) and I can just about squeeze in a weekend.

I take so much joy from my week because I LOVE what I do, and you would be surprised at just how much you can squeeze into a day when it doesn’t feel like work.

If you can find a purpose or job that you are passionate about it hardly feels like a slog, instead it feels like a joy. Well most of the time anyway!

Don’t get me wrong it hasn’t always been easy. I began working in TV 15 years ago and there have been some struggles and I have felt overwhelmed at times. But I have enjoyed the journey.

That’s how I fit it all in. I enjoy the process! This is where coaching can come in, together we can work towards discovering your work joy, we can navigate your career path and set goals that can get you to the life you want!
